For known "good" channels and positions to render a picture and sound? Its becoming more and more pronounced on my setup.

At first I thought maybe the dish got out of alignment, but...a not-so-quick reboot of the Openbox and we're good to go again, and the "missing" channel pops in with no dish adjustment as if it was always there!

Openbox feeds from 3 of 4 ports on a disecq, one to C-band, one to Ku BUD, and one to Ku dedicated. I can't say its the dreaded "vertical voltage" issue with the cheap fix, because some V I can go to with no issues.

What version of firmware are you running on your Openbox? Also is it always the same channels? If so which ones?

Version I have not looked at in awhile, so forgive my not knowing what date the following is: C2HS2-11-10-10:0579CMT.
Not sure about posting what feeds are trouble publicly for the forum rules, will send in PM. One REPEAT offender seems to happen every time.

Could the Openbox also sample for signal after "X" amount of time and declare, "no signal" on a slower moving actuator, thus if traveling from, say, High to Low in the arc the Openbox computer says, "uh, no" when actually there IS signal but not in the time it samples?

I had that same problem on some FW. Some would come in with just a channel change, wait a few, then back. Others needed a reboot. Since loading the "DEEP" fw, it is no longer an issue. Now have 4-?-2012 loaded which for all practical purposes is identical to DEEP except the blue background is branded OPENBOX. (can't supply the FW ver as reported @ this time, not near it)

If you get a chance, much appreciate knowing what FW fixed this for you. It's time to "play" again with FW, though I hate doing that. In the meantime, observed:

A couple of the channels that only appear on reboot.....

Bloomberg on AMC 10 at 3820/29270 horizontal is a BIG offender. A "My Family" on AMC3 at 3801H 29125 just did it.

I just can't see a pattern in this odd behavior!

Dec. 20
Loaded S10 FW modded to work on S9 - (it's on the FW section here)
file is DEEP_C2DS2_CMT_1112130641.abs
Info screen reads C2HS2-11-12-13-048:CMT
No lockups or stuttering

The "factory" April 2012 FW reads the same: C2HS2-11-12-13-048:CMT. The only difference I see is this one has been 'branded; OPENBOX on the blue background whereas the 'DEEP" FW is a blank blue background.

Looks like the 'factory' is depending on independent 'third parties' for the updates.
