What are the new "boxes" Dish Mover added?

Just had a DishMove. New house had old Dish 500 system, just like my old house. Installer put up new DishPro LNB and added a small powered "box" between each old receiver and the LNB. Exactly what are these additional boxes for?

I am thinking that they are DishPro adapters for older receivers that are not connected to DishPro compatible receivers. These older receivers can not switch properly between the 110 and 119 satellites without this adapter. I have one on my 2700.
