Weird Things Going On With Recordings

I'm trying to access "Peoples Court" - 2 episodes which recorded several hours ago. Both "episodes" say they are "recording now" and that they are the current (one) episode that is recording for "Judge Judy". Weird!!

OK, I can't be the only one.... something freaky here. There a number of similar issues: Recordings listed under the wrong program names and icons. We think we are playing one thing, but it turns out to be another altogether. Any idea what's going on?? My wife is about to kill me! And I've restarted a number of times. No matter what she tries to watch, "COPS" comes up???

Doesn't matter. Give it another day or two. This is normal.
Wrong recordings are normal? I think I'd really be PO'd with Dish if it weren't for you guys! Anyway, I finally did an "unplug/wait a couple minutes/replug" (rather than just a RBR) and everything seems to be where it belongs and playing correctly - at least for now.

This is my 2nd day and I can definitely say the WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor) is below 0! There have been so many glitches, I've stopped counting. I just started a recorded movie from an EHD, sound OK, picture in the upper left in micro-fiche. I was about to give up and reboot but I went back to the DVR menu, re-selected the movie and hit Resume. The picture then came back full screen.

Lots and lots of internal status flags are not being set or set correctly. I know this will work itself out, but I still can't do a search, see program icons, etc. But all my timers fire correctly and save. As a Sat Receiver it works fine. As a DVR, not so much.

My Dish Anywhere on my PC stopped working, it shows only the Hopper serial number but nothing populates, not even the guide. It can't connect to the Hopper.

So I'm waiting through the weekend for the recommended 72 hours, saying to myself, there is no place like home before I get really frustrated.

What I'm amazed about is the neat new stuff, like changing options depending on style of remote you are using, works perfectly. But the base old functionally is IMHO Beta if not Gamma version. I hope they are working on some fixes fast and release something other then 301. What used to be a pleasant television experience has turned into a 'Do I dare press this button?'

You are SOOO right (I know that because she just told me so LOL) ... I too am having the same problem with accessing via my PC. Strangely though, DishAnywhere works just fine using my IPad, my Android phone and Android tablet. I guess I'll hold my breath and do a lot of "yes dear-ing" for the next day or two.

Sadly i agree too. Too many bugs here and there. They announced carbon on 2015 ces? So at least they had a copy to show it there and another year to get ready for primetime. I like a lot if stuff about it but definetly not ready for public release. More like a beta.

Yup, but we all are early adopters and knew that when we went in for 'week 1' upgrades. Knowing that and if we all treat it as a beta should help temper some remarks. It will only get worse once Dish starts installing H3's as standard instead of for people that specifically request an H3 upgrade.

IMHO, if you (I) requested an H3 week 1, I knew I was not going to get polished software. But family understanding it is a different thing. Definitely explaining to the wife to be patient....

Another weird thing add this to the list. Dishanywhere app shows movies and tvshows that i deleted couple days ago and if i click on them i can watch them still. When i check my dvr recordings they are deleted not there but dishanywhere they are still there. Go figure! :) and for testing if dish gave us satelliteguys couple hopper3's before release, we could have easily report pretty much every bug in couple days! ;) it would be easier for them too and no cost.

Yup, even if you delete a show it's still in the stream on the disk until it's purged or overwritten. Looks like DishAnywhere is just not checking the deleted status flag. Sort of like talking to a spirit medium! LOL

Had mine since Monday and haven't experienced a bug since Tuesday. DVR works, VOD works, EHD works, Dish Anywhere works, the show graphics in the DVR are there, OTA channels show in my guide and PQ is fantastic.
