I think Dish needs to set up a department for satellite guys, so they can authorize all our silly and impossible whims.
that way if we want 3 Hoppers and 2 Super Joeys in our RV with different locals every other day as we travel, they would know who we are and just do it.
They might as well provide us with source code for the Hoppers so those with the right talent could just tweet it to suite us.
Then as the word got out about all the cool things we were doing, the membership here might really grow, to millions instead of thousands.

Oh and we should all get discounts on our programming if we are a pub member and supporter of the Satguys. And while we are at it we should get discounted FEES on our accounts.

Hell I don't even get a discount on my service. And not only does DISH save millions here each year by us supporting their customers, but we probably sell more new service and equipment upgrades then ANY of their retailers. (And I don't think I am exaggerating there...)

Just think if we had DISH give us a spiff for each new customer or upgrade done through SatelliteGuys then we would probably be 100% ad free.

Scott, you need to get the SatelliteGuys marketing department on this.;)

The Marketing department is busy packing for a voyage next week. :D

(No actually the marketing department is trying to fix the Security Token issue that some members are having when they try posting.) :) That is driving me NUTS!

I always wonder what type of finical impact this site has generated for dish on a new sub basis but also with DIRT a retention basis

I often wonder how many of us would still be with DISH if we didn't belong to this site. It has been a useful tool to teach us about all things DISH as well as a support group to fuss about our mutual problems with price hikes, bad software , new tech. I've even learned how to install my own sat dish and my parents, aunt, friends. I doubt I would of put up with all the different problems I have had with DISH if I hadn't belonged to this community online for the last 11 years or more. It's been well worth the pub membership fee.

It's like alcohol anonymous except for satellite.

" Hi I'm Mike and I'm a Satguy....(from the group HI MIKE!!! ):D

Thanks Scott, for all you have done to establish this site and keep it running.:hatsoff:

I can finaggle this system and still post after the security token issue. At first I though someone was shutting me up, but I realized I was not on Da bit Stream from the USSR.

I know for sure this site and of course DIRT, DIRT has helped me out from just running and screaming out loud with past issues :) especially
With my initial Hopper install

Plus for me the site played a big role in review when it came down to upgrading to the Hopper. To this day having the information of my two Hopper/one Joey set up when I discussed with Dish that I could still watch tv but with no second hopper I can't I think went a long way when I placed my initial Hopper order with dish Sent from my iPhone using SatelliteGuys

My wife calls SatelliteGuys.US my porn site!!

I never thought about it. However you might be missing the boat Scott by not being a retailer for both providers. It makes total sense & you have a complete tech support network right here. Hmm...........

Aiming the dish through a small "window" ... advisable?
