Watching TV with Windows Media Player

I have the a/v outputs of my DirecTV receiver going into a Pinnacle MovieBox, which then goes into my PC via 1394 (Firewire). Using this, I can capture home movies or TV shows and edit & make movies.

BUT....the "capture" (preview) window in Pinnacle Software is ~300 x 300 pixels.

Does anyone know how to get Windows Media Player to recognize the incoming a/v feed over the firewire/1394 port?

Try D-Scaler, it's not Windows Media Player but it allows more devices to display on your monitor over WMP.
