Can anyone out there instruct me on this, if it's possible (without two dsr-550's) I take output from dsr550 yellow, red, white. Go to input on VCR (
Mitsubishi with 999 channels) Cannot memorize channels. This vcr has choice of 7 satelite receivers, VOOM is not one of them. Called Mitsubishi they can't help. Is there a VCR out there that will work? Called VOOM, they really can't
help! I do like VOOM! The picture is incredible! I heard there are two tuners in
the dsr550, true? Any thoughts on this? Am I overlooking something really
easy? Thanks in advance---papp

There are two tuners in the STB: one for satellite channels, another one for local channels (OTA). But only one is active at a time. The future DVR will be able to do what you want. For now, you can only record the same channel that you watch on your TV set.

Easy, get another receiver or get a DVD burner with a hard drive, or a stand alone Tivo then you can watch a pre-recorded show while recording another. Not HD, but a good solution.

Stuck STB

Why am I getting HDNet mapped to a local channel on VOOM?
