Want Tivo

i have a 508 rcvr and want to record one live show while viewing another live show-can TIVO do this?? if not, what can??

As a stand alone unit, the DirecTivo is the only one that is built that way for those functions. The Dish Network 522 does have two inputs and two outputs and could be used in a similar way, provided that your TV had a way of accepting both outputs and you don't mind switching back and forth between them.

DISH will try to keep you as a customer but DirecTV with TiVo is far superior to any DISH DVR.
