Want VIP211 (I dont record anything) with Gold or Plat pkg and locals..Located in Charleston wv (in valley). Hills both sides. Once used C-band dish and got all the satellites ok. With the VIP211, and gold or plat pkg (for high def), which dish is recommended and what sdish satellites would I "see?" Any other thoughts ready to order soon. Up front costs, dish size, programing fees, leases etc.???? THANKS

Ask Radio Shack who they use for their local installer and have installer come out and do a site analysis to see what sat locations not blocked by hills or trees: 110, 119, and (61.5 or 129): JMO

Didnt know they would do site analysis. Will work on this. Next question-which satellites are the ones you really need for maximum viewing of the dish network (and I would guess maximum reception or "gain.")and therefore which is the best dish to mount. (High definition, Voom, and long dist locals if possible is my goal-gold or plat w locals) Thanks for first reply.

129 (what is needed for the HD channels) is tougher to pull in than 105/110/119 in this are if you got a bit of tree/hills around you. Send me an email or a pm if you need a site survey. I may be able to help you out.

The farther you go to the right the more closer to the horizon you are going to get. 110 is the highest up, then 119 is lower, and 129 is even lower. C-Band is less susceptible to trees than DBS.
