Ok thats not much of a title for the thread but I'm here to tell all of you who havent' found out the hard way, like I just did, that your receiver will reboot on its own and clean out its memory chip! I know I should've been clearing out all those occasional feed channels I save , more often than I did. But Sunday night it caught up with me, haha.
Thought I would run a quick scan on G25 just to see if there was anything new, it completed the scan, said Saving Channel Info..........................and locked UP tight. It rebooted itself, there wasn't anything on the led panel.
I rebooted with the switch, and when it came back on, it said "Oh SH--", no really it said "no CH" meaning it had Factory Defaulted itself.
Needless to say, I was surprised it would do that. But there are limits to memory, my box had apparently reached its, lol. Taken me parts of 2days to get everything programmed back in.
I've mentioned this before on here, but I don't practice what I preach.
After all this scanning, I will remember better in the future. Of course if you don't mind reprogramming 30+satellites now and then, ignore all this blather.
