Hi,
I'm new to Voom -- had it installed Monday. So far so good -- I get most of
the local's fine, with the notable exception of PBS. :-( I had the
installer split the antenna feed so one goes into the Voom STB and one goes
direct to my TV which has it's own tuner, and both show low to no signal on
that. I have the sensar ii, and it's only about 6 feet off the ground. I
decided not to have the dish and antenna mounted higher until we were sure
it was all going t work. The installer didn't think it would make much
difference and looking at the mapping of channels, I'm not so sure it would
either, without having some kind of large mount high above the roof! I am
curious if any of the other OTA antennas work better than the sensar, such
as the square shooter.
Anyway, I have a 2nd question about ESPN HD and ESPN News. So far, these
two channels are the only two I'm supposed to get that are giving me a
problem. Sometimes they come in, and sometimes they don't. If I change
channels a couple of times (after waiting a few seconds to see if they
tune), they usually do come in. But more often than not, the 1st time I try
it, I get no signal.
I think I read somewhere about some channels having to switch on the LNB or
some such. Is that what is going on? Anyway to improve this?
Thanks,
Sean
