Voom Remote & SS Receiver Control

I'm surprised voom's remote doesnt control SS audio receivers (volume-on/off) too. Or can it? Being voom is HD quality and the audio 5.1, I havent seen that the remote controls anything than your tv and the voom box. I like the voom remote layout, even better than tivo's remote. I'd like to stick with the voom remote and not have to go with a 3rd party remote monster.

I don't think it can control your audio receiver. A lot of people have gone to the Harmony remote. I have the SST-659 and it controls all components easily, and it's also very easy to set up yourself.

Will the harmony remote you mention also control all the features of the voom box like the voom button, the color coded option buttons, etc...?

It will. It doesn't have color-coded buttons, so you will have to map them to some other unused buttons.
