While we all realize that Voom's usual way of handling things is to=20
keeps its subscribers in the dark on things, someone from Voom might=20
want to make a statement on yesterday's news release in order to=20
prevent speculation, confusion, and a mass exodus from the service.=20
And no offense to our new Voom rep here, but it needs to be one of=20
the top people with the company.

Just my 2=A2.=20

Until they make a formal announcement to the stock market, they can't
make any "non-public" statements to the subscribers, etc. I don't
believe this would be allowed by law.

The "Voom rep here", as you put it, is a VP. There are not many in the chai=
n
of command above him.=20

As another post points out, any announcement would have to be an official
PR. A post to a message board wouldn't cut it. Let's hope they can offer
some explanation in the coming days/weeks. I for one would like to see
something good still come of this. I'm not sure Charlie Egan getting
bandwidth in a fire sale is what I had in mind. The hardware development
track record at E* is horrible and the DVR which I was most looking forward
to would have even less chance.

I assume you are referring to Wilt who is a VP. The reference, I believe
was to the new sales rep who joned the forum as recently as yesterday.
Linkincorn_kid, I think.
