I'm sure under Washington state law that the installer has to give you
his name. Report to VOOM CSRs first, then call Installs, Inc.
Dispatch (the number on your email confirming the install) and raise
hell nicely. Demand another installer and it had better be in the
next few days. Lastly, post on here to "Wilt" as he is VP of
engineering and monitors this site and will kick it upstairs if you
are unable to resolve with Installs.
Let us know what happens. No one should be treated as you were.
One thing I've found in dealing with VOOM, Installs and the local
installer(s) is to be firm, insistent and "nice". Don't yell
(although I did one time last summer). So far I've only gotten hung
up on once (and I wasn't yelling) and that was by a supervisor at
Installs, Inc. who later lied to me about getting "disconnected".
Good luck! Keep trying as VOOM is worth it. And although this has
been our first experience with satellite service there have been many
other stories of poor service from the other providers. It depends on
the local installer.
