[VOOM] How long do they take?

I spoke to the gal at Voom and said the installer would be giving me
a call that was 2 days ago. Anyone know how soon they come out to
install? I live in Northern California.

Also I cannot have the dish mounted on my roof as this would void
the warranty of my roof. Can the installer attach elsewhere??

Usually, it looks like it's mounted on the roof but it is mounted on your fascia board. You can't get a guarantee on that.

The time to install after you call varies. Mostly I've seen 1-2 weeks. However, be sure to
be proactive with your install. A VOOM CSR should be able to give you the date and time.
Then you need to followup with a call to Installs, Inc. to confirm and to get the phone # of
your local installer.

Do a bit of reading on here and over on the Installation section of VOOM on satguys and
you will find out everything you need to know. Knowing what to expect ahead of time and
gaining some info may be of help to your installer as well although it looks like many more
installers now know about VOOM which wasn't the case a year ago.

Soon you will be enjoying more HDTV than you can imagine and if VOOM comes through
with 70 channels in March...!

As for dish mounting, it can be mounted to the fascia board or you can have it mounted on a pole. I have to get mine mounted on the roof due to the peaks of my roof and line of sight. Also be sure if they mount the dish to the fascia board that all screws are used into the base, which are three screws.
