Vistar 2000 how to set PID

Is there a way to manually setup the PID on this unit? I am able to get most of the stations I want, just hard time with G11 WB...

welcome Kevin

yep....the channel has to be logged in as a legit channel. Once you do that
-press guide (I think thats it.....far right side 2nd from bottom). It brings up the channel list
-arrow to channel
-press right arrow...you will go into the PID screen
-change pids and hit "OK"

Vistar 2000 - No guide button

I have a epg button that does not bring up anything...

I am trying to bring up wb on g11... Manual pid entery is required...

Maybe there is a software update?

I know there is a button that brings up all channels currently in system. Can it store at least the channel or not?

If it can't store the channel, it won't work

There is a favorite channels list... You have a choice from list 1-3 ... No other choices that I can see...

When you scanned for it, did it actually store the channel or not?

It finds a signal, but then states "No Program !!"

You need to store a channel beofre changing the PIDs

I have tried on satellites/channels that it is going to to change the pid... There simply is no list of channels... Just the favorite channels list, that does not allow anything except the lock/unlock...

Is there a software package for this reciever?

So you have quality on a given transponder on a given sat?

Wonder if this would work.

Pick a number between 0-9, point at a sat you can get and scan in some channels. Then move the dish back to the sat and transponder you want and edit a given channel and change the freq, sr, and v or h for the sat you want???

for PID changes (as posted aboce) are just the 3 (audio, video and PCR)....if he tries that, he would need to find something on a different satellite on the same frequency/polarity

I do not even have the audio, video, pcr... I have yet to be able to get even AC3 audio to work...

When you hit "EPG" any channel that you have loaded in will show

I get "NO EPG Data" I am currently watching AMC-7 PBS (4 year old son ...

I have yet to see anything in the EPG... Just get "No EPG data"... I picked up a used Primestar dish so I am now locked onto 10r and getting WB that way...

I only get "Please Wait" Then "No EPG Data" no matter what satellite I am locked onto...

I have yet to see anything when the EPG button is pressed...

Is there a trick to the EPG?

nope...I just hit "EPG"

far right corner...2nd from the bottom...it shows like the picture I posted in this thread
