Does the connection for antenna/cable input just for digital signals? If I hook up the cable for my cable TV to that input will will it distribute it to the in-home distribution output?
No, the 722 does not have a qam tuner which cable uses, nor does it allow the cable signal to pass through the receiver via the rf connections. You can use a simple splitter in reverse (as a combiner) to combine the cable and rf outs and run that through your distribution network.
POS! Don't think that's what the OP had in mind. It is just to bad that Dish receivers didn't have QAM tuners in them. That would really have been great!! Especially for me.

Again let me apologize for being so dumb. I looked at the link and still can't figure out what a Qbox is? What does it do? Does it convert something to something else? Where do I buy one? I've seen reference to "Qbox support" but a google search shows something that attaches to my computer via USB.
