I've noticed that my Panasonic AX-100 projector will no longer work via HDMI since the last firmware update to L433. Well, at least not above 480p. EDID and HDMI analysis responses read good yet video turns on and off every 1 second. Same cable works with PS3 bluray 1080p/60 source. I'm using component video out until this is resolved. Dish says no way to rolling back the firmware to an earlier rev.
I'm just guessing at this point that it might be an HDCP issue. Dish engineering seems clueless for the moment per another customer with the same setup who had techs out to his home to run diagnostics & consult with home base.

I just phoned Dish tech support, who reports they're aware of the problem and actively working on a fix. The CSR read off a list of HDMI issues that covers the video problem, I was unaware that there were audio problems with hdmi as well.

I have the same Panny pj. I love this project. I had my about little bit over 1 month. No problem so far. About 100 hrs on the bulb. But, my problem is just like everyone in here, HDMI w/Dishnetwork VIP211. I'm getting the same results as you do. Dish just release the newer software L433. I did soft/hard reboot and still not getting the new software. Nothing works higher than 480p. Toshiba HD DvD player works perfertly fine. Here is the message I got from Dish..."

Thank you for your email. What the agent told you is correct. There are software issues revolving around the implementation of the HDMI connection and the use of HDCP (copy protection used by the HDMI connection). Issues involving HDMI connections are affect many companies, not just DISH Network. The component connection offers the same High Definition picture quality as HDMI and is necessary for some as an alternative to HDMI. Our engineering department is aware of the issue and they will try to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we do not have a status report for this situation at this time and these issues are usually fixed in a software update. Please remember to turn off your receiver when you are not watching TV, so that it can receive the update when it becomes available.
Your business is greatly appreciated and we thank you for allowing us to be of assistance to you. If you have further questions you can respond to this e-mail or access our online technical support at the following link."

I got L433 software for my Vip 211 last night. After several soft and hard reboot. I was able to view in 1080i for a 5 mins. excitement. Not is no longer stay in 1080i. I have to down scale to 480p. I don't know what they are doing to ever going to fix the HDMI problem with 211 and 622. This problem is well know for year now. I just about had it with Dish.

722 no HDMI output with panasonic ax-100

Same problem here. Dish Network 622 and 722, neither will output 720p over HDMI to my Panasonic AX-100 projector. This problem started in August. Tried replacing receiver 3 times, ran 2 new HDMI cords and replaced my projector; the problem is still the same. The picture goes in and out every 1 second. I did get a $78 credit for service outage. Must be a HDCP software issue!

Still waiting for the fix!!!!!!!!!!
