VIP622 - Problems recording while watching TV2

I am unable to watch live TV on TV2 any time that a show is recording. I get the message prompt that "Your request will stop the TV recording and switch to live mode TV. Do you wish to stop the recording?"

I've got the VIP622 DVR. I'm also using the OTA tuner.

Someone scheduled a recording, likely from TV1, and with "Record Plus" enabled, the default TV to use is TV2. Hit "DVR" twice and see if a recording is in progress. It will have a "1" or "2" in front of the name of the program if it's in progress.

I'm confused. With 3 tuners, shouldn't I be able to record one show while watching another, regardless of which TV I'm watching?

It has (2) satellite tuners and (1) over-the-air tuner. If you watch on TV2 as much as on TV1, you might want to consider disabling "Record Plus".

Technically, you can record (3) things at once and watch (2) pre-recorded events.

What you are envisioning is for the recording to be defaulted to an inactive tuner. The recording is assigned when you set up the recordings. If you know you are going to be watching a program on tv2, try setting up an autotune for tv2 before setting up recording on tv1.
