FYI. Received a VIP622 today that included component, HDMI, DVI to HDMI adaptor, s-video, phone, RG59, and composite cables. However, the box did not include the separator nor the short RG6 cables that run from the separator to the two tuner inputs. Was sent directly from Dish to my home under a Dish'n it Up upgrade from VIP211. I had an extra separator and short RG6 cables, so I was able to do the install without issue.

Same here, I received my 622 last Friday and it came with all the cables. I was very surprised so see an HDMI to DVI cable. I didn't get the separator either.

i don't blame them. If I was dish, and sending the reciever directly to the customer, I wouldn't include the seperator either.
The don't know what kind of LNB or switch customers have, and it is a safe bet to assume that most don't have a DPP44 or DPP Twin.
If they included the seperator there would be a bunch of people out there trying to use a seperator with their DP34, or whatever.
By not including it, they force people to either run another wire to their existing switch, or actually know what they are doing and upgrade everything to DPP.

Point well taken and all valid points.

At least they are including some type of cable to connect your brand new state of the art 622 receiver to your TV.

Got my 622 on Mon. No HDMI, component or separator just RCAs, S-vidio and phone cables. Set was installed by sub for dish and they ran new cables from DP34 to the 622 which saved me 200.00 for a DPP44 and everything works great. The installation went fast and all worked great on first try about 1 hr total time. :up

Glad it worked out for you. In my case, I have four satellites (61.5, 110, 119, and 129) going to four receivers: two HD-DVR dual tuners (622), one SD-DVR dual tuner (625), and one SD-DVR single tuner (508). By using the DPP44, I only need single RG6 runs from the switch to each receiver location (using separators at dual tuner locations).

How do I hook up a 3rd TV to My Dishnetwork?

Why do people bash Voom? It's great.
