Just received my new 622 but noticed that the top of the box had been previously opened and was wondering if I got all the accessories as they don't seem to be listed on the internet. Everything including the receiver was sealed in plastic bags, the 622 itself in an anti-static bag. Besides the two remotes, owners manual and TV1 & TV2 Quick Reference Guides, I got a bagged separator, and a bag with RCA RWY cable, 4 batteries, RJ11 telephone cord and short terminated coax cable. In another bag 1 RF antenna, 1 attenuator, another short coax cable, S-video cable, and 4 more batteries. Anything missing? I was expecting to get at least a RGB or perhaps HDMI cable too. Thanks

Doesn't sound like you're missing anything. Some people report getting component cables, some DVI/HDMI cables, but most get neither. Digital Dish, Dish's installer for much of Ohio, actually throws a component cable in the box.

Does Dish include more cables ?? Hard to say... Some people may receive "older" receivers that installers have had in stock (??) and don't include add'l cables. I don't think anyone knows definitively what Dish supplies.

Not everyone gets the component or HDMI cables. Some people get neither like you did. It's a hit and miss and honestly I don't understand why. All I can think of it's that the cables are getting "lost" in the wharehouses.

The one item I fully expected to get and didn't was the DPP Separator. I had previously received one with our leased 625. My youngest son had one with his initial leased Vip622 back when they were introduced and the additional Vip622 I sent him last Christmas had one in the box.

I immediately jumped on line and ordered one with overnight delivery but unfortunately it was late on a friday afternoon and of course it didn't ship until Monday. Luckily I wasn't using the third feed off my 1000.2, but had to drag it through the wall for our leased 625. I used the DPP Separator off the 625 to activate the Vip622 until I received the ordered DPP Separator.

In the Vip622 box there was a halfway decent set of component cables and a couple DVI to HDMI cables, one short with a female DVI connection, the other about six feet long had a male DVI connection, both outputted as male HDMI.

Thanks for the replies - - at least the accurate ones. I guess it's a crap shoot on what accessories one gets beyond the basic ones. I have no use for the S-video cable or RCA cable and doubt most others will either. I did notice that my receiver was made in India - - if that has anything to do with it.

So, what is up with all the HD games.
