Is there some way to get my recording on to my computer. I want to burn my recordings on a disc. I know you can put it on an external drive and have one ready but just want to know if its possible???

Not really. Dish uses a proprietary format. Your PC or a DVD player would not be able to read it.

Connect to a dvd recorder and record the progam while playing it in real time. Most recording cannot be done through the HD connections, so you will need to use rf, composite or s-video connections.

DO NOT move your programs onto the EHD, because then they will be encrypted. DO go visit the Yahoo group pvrexplorer and/or dishrip.

This works only for SD programming, HD is MPEG4 and not downloadable - yet.
