VIP211k EHD limit on # of timers

I have a new VIP211k with EHD. I seem to only be able to schedule 13 timers... is that correct? is it a limitation of the 211? or am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance Dom

64 is the max number of timers you can have. What happens when you try to set the 14th timer?

Getting error 041 Maximum number of event timers. only 12 timers.. but that equates to 256 events.. That must be what the error is talking about. I hit the Max number of events event though the number of timers are low.

Perhaps you are setting timers for shows which repeat often. Here's what I have found with my 211K receivers: Let's say you like to watch "Hardcore Pawn". You set a timer to record all "new" episodes. Let's also say that TruTV runs a marathon of "Hardcore Pawn" every other day. All of those episodes will show up as "skipped" because none of the episodes are tagged as "new". Those "skipped" episodes will count toward the 256-event limit. The only thing you can do is go through your timers list and delete some of the timers to free up space. I have deleted obsolete timers for shows that are no longer "new" (cancelled shows) and that seems to help. Hope this helps.

Delete the timer hog, and make your new timers then add the timer hog back.

Its a 64 timer limit and a 264 event limit.

I believe the old 50X models were 64/264. The 522/625 family is 96/576 as well as the VIP DVRs but the 211/411s are 64/264.

Hopper also has the 96/576 limit. I was actually surprised that they didn't raise it at all when it was first released, considering it has more tuners and potentially more users than the Duo DVRs.
