Can anyone tell me if they have a Sony Internet TV working with a 612? I cannot get it to integrate even though both are connected to the internet together.

Dish receivers do not output programming via Ethernet. Any conversion of HDMI to IP would likely fail HDCP. Is there some gadget that takes component and refashions it for internet transfer?

I don't know really. I'm just going through my setup on the TV, and I go through all the Google stuff. Then it asks me if I want basic integration or enhanced..Enhanced says to make sure i have Ethernet running to Ethernet from TV to receiver..It does not seem to detect my equipment though.

My quick perusal of the web says that Sony TVs with GoogleTV are supposed to integrate with Dish Network receivers...

Oh oh. The Dish website only mentions the 622, 722, and 722k. I think the 612 was supposed to get GoogleTV integration at one time. If so, it's a long time in coming.

Like you, I have two 612s and would like to see a lot more "love" from the firmware engineers. My 722 gets all the good stuff (new/better menus, GoogleTV, Sling Adapter), but my 612s don't.

Google tv now works with the dish 612 receiver just like the 622, 722, 722k.

(I know this is an old thread, but all I could find). If that's the case, do you know how to set it up with a Logitech Revue? When I go through the setup process to add the 612, it's listed with it's IP address and I select it. Then a screen asks if I want to integrate Google TV with the 612. I answer yes, then agree to a EULA from Dish. Then the screen says, "Authorization required. Follow on-screen instructions....". The on-screen instructions is an "Attention 430" dialog that says, "To integrate Google TV with your receiver, please log onto your Dish Network acct...". I've looked through the Dish site to find where to activate it and the closest thing is the "My Equipment" page. There is a row that says, "Logitech Revue Integrated" and for my two 612s and my 211k it says, "Not Available".

So.... Either it's really not available or there's another place to activate it. Any ideas? Thanks!

For the integration to work, your account needs a DVR Integration tag placed on it. The DVR Integration is $4 per month. If you would provide your account number and your 4 digit PIN number for security verification to me in a PM, I can add this tag to your account. Please let me know. Thanks.
