VIP 211K REMOTE EXTENDER

Is the Dish Network ES123804 IR to UHF Converter compatible with the VIP 211k receiver? The IR Remote does not work through two walls from the receiver in my computer room to the TV in my bedroom. The VIP 211k does not support UHF and does not have a remote antenna. It also does not support UHF functions on the 21 series remotes.

I'm using one on my 211k, works fine. However it's in an adjoining room so I can't tell you how strong the rf signal is farther away.
