Hi, I would like to know if the above descrambler can be used with an FTA receiver. I found it on a second hand store and it also came with a black module that can be pulled in and out from the back of this descrambler.

No.... This is a videocipher II. The cage could be used with a VC II+ module and an analog receiver for C band. Unless you want it for parts it's not worth much anymore with analog VC type programing disappearing.
