Video Game Deals

Catherine is very good. It's HARD, like "You HAVE to play on Easy unless you're a masochist" Hard. You also have to be into Japanese Anime Romantic Comedy storylines/humor or else the story is going to come across as too silly/unlikely to be taken seriously. I'm also not really sure why that game is on there. Catherine is hardly a horror game. Yeah it deals with men mysteriously dying in their sleep, but that seems like a stretch to put it in a horror/dead themed sale. Still it's good for it to be on there so others can try it out. Troy Baker voices the main character and does a really good job, and I liked the multiple endings the game had (although realistically you'll probably just "earn" one of them and then watch the rest on YouTube.) Too bad they don't have Lollipop Chainsaw there because THAT game fits the sale perfectly, but a quick search shows that the game isn't even available digitally. Apparently WBIE has a crippling fear of money and success. Hell if nothing else they could do a cheap digital re-release and emphasize the fact that the game was written by James Gunn, who other than writing some classic Troma movies also recently wrote and directed Guardians of the Galaxy! But then again, if there's something that WBIE has been lacking lately is good ideas.

Dell has quite the Black Friday Xbox One deal: You can get a One with 2 controllers, Fallout 4 AND Gears of War Ultimate Edition for $300. Yes, $300.

That's an amazing deal but if you want it you better be on the page the second it goes live because I'm guessing it will sell out almost instantly. That's $170 cheaper than you could buy the Gears bundle, Fallout 4, and an extra controller separately.

What a coincidence!!

Yep! Social media marketing at it's best.... It actually worked on me though. I watched BTTF for the first time in years a couple days ago because Amazon was advertising it pretty heavily on their Prime service.

I passed during the Tell Tale sale a couple weeks ago but all the BTTF hype on twitter/facebook combined with me recently watching the movie got in my head enough to actually buy it today. Maybe I'll even watch BTTF 2 tonight.

Edit: It's kind of weird that they decided to treat this as 5 separate games on Steam. Each episode is listed as a separate game in my library.

That's how the game is set up. The DRM Free version is also 5 separate games as well. There's no continuity between the episodes in terms of items or decisions you make.

Maybe this'll encourage you to get back into Rocket League

That actually is pretty cool and I wouldn't mind getting back into Rocket League anyways. It's pretty surprising that Universal let an indie game license Back to the Future but It's cool that they did.

It was like that originally for the PS3 digital edition -- five separate downloads with five separate trophy lists. But when they re-released it a short time later on retail disc for PS3, it was combined into one trophy list with a platinum. And the new PS4 re-release is the same - both digital and disc.

I don't remember there being decisions and different possible outcomes even within each episode...other than the order of the steps you take to solve a particular puzzle. I'm pretty sure the story is linear and all outcomes predetermined, though there might be some missable side-stories/interactions in each episode.

Yeah like I said, there's no continuity. The other older Telltale Games were the same for the most part. Tales of Monkey Island is 5 separate games, Wallace & Grommit is 5 separate games, and so is Hector (3 games). It looks like The Walking Dead was the first game to just keep updating the same standard files.

South Park: The Stick of Truth is $7.49 on Steam.

They are running a sale on the Fallout franchise (except Fallout 4) for the weekend.

And they are also running a sale on Adult Swim games this weekend. I knew about Westerado but I had no idea Adult Swim published this many PC games.

Edit: Also Codemasters if you are into racing games.

The Fallout Sale is nothing to write home about. Likely will have better deals during the Christmas sale.

I don't know. Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas aren't bad for $3.39 each. There is well over 100 hours of gameplay between those two games for less than $7 together. I spent more than that on lunch today.

If you want the DLC I have seen better deals though. In fact I just searched my email account to find my receipts. I got New Vegas Ultimate Edition for $5.99 and Fallout 3 GOTY for $4.99 back in 2013.

Exactly. If you want the FO games you may as well get the complete packages, and I KNOW I've seen those for 66/75% off at various times, and here they're only available at 50% off.

Devolver Digital is running a sale on Green Man. Unfortunately Hotline Miami 2 is only 25% off. They put out a lot of cool/weird PC games though.

Downwell is not featured but it's only a week old and it started at $3 anyways. I've only played about a half hour but it is a fun, simple game. You can end up with lots of weird stackable perks that make you super powerful in any given run just like Binding of Issac. With a 93 Metacritic score I'd say it's worth the $3.

I wasn't aware that Dell was a big video game retailer but they have had a couple big sales announced recently. Right now you can get a $25 or $15 gift card depending on the game when you pre-order a bunch of different titles.

Halo 5, Fallout 4, Star Wars Battlefront, and lots of other big holiday games are included in this deal. If you have things to use these gift cards on that's basically a $35 pre-order for some big games. Like I said when Best Buy was doing something similar, if this was Amazon I would be all over it. I'm not sure I've ever bought anything from Dell.com though.

Gamestop is having a Halloween sale on PC games. Some good deals, but you need to do some digging.

Wow! This has to be an error on Gamestop's part but they are listing the Razer Blackwidow mechanical gaming keyboard for $5.97 new. I bought mine for $80 earlier this year on Amazon and the price has actually risen to $85 since then.

This is a very nice gaming keyboard. If you are in the market for one I would grab it quickly before they fix this. It's probably even worth buying a bunch of them to sell for a profit on eBay or something.

Yeah that sold out. Luckily this is still available in stores.

Damn.... It says that no stores within a 100 mile radius of my location currently have that game in stock. Guess I have quite the drive ahead of me tonight.

Edit: I don't know why the Amazon link I posted to that keyboard goes to the Ultimate Edition. I chose the standard because I didn't want to pay the extra $30 for fancy LED lit keys.
