I am mystified by the problems I am having. I would like to know if anyone else has had similar experiences. Each problem happened once, and all happened in the last 3 weeks. I have had the 622 for over 2 years with no problems that I can recall until now.
1) I was watching a movie on my external hard drive, when it suddenly went to the end-of-program screen. I tried a half dozen other movies on the external hard drive, and each one went immediately to end-of-program. Next, my list of recordings showed only the six movies I had just tried to play. Finally, without my prompting it, the 622 rebooted itself, and after that everything was fine.
2) I went into the DVR to delete some old recordings and each time I deleted one, the menu on the right ("Edit", "Done", etc.) went blank -- no captions -- and I had to hit cancel and then go back in to delete the next movie. This problem went away on its own without my needing to reboot.
3) The latest one is that all my high-definition recordings on DVR and external hard drive would only display one frame per second. SD recordings were fine. The soundtrack on the HD recordings was fine too, but I was watching what amounted to a slide show. Re-booting cleared up this problem as well.
These problems are not huge, obviously, but they seem bizarre to me, and my curiosity is aroused. Has anybody seen any of these things before?
