Ok gang!i really need your help!Didn't get much from Galaxy Marketing.I just received a PowerMax V box-x from Galaxy Marketing and i need some help.First of all the box didn't look like the one advertised on Galaxy's site and when i read thru the small manual i saw under Specifications Input voltage 180-240 vac 50 hz.The specs on the galaxy site does say 120v.The box did look exactly like one i had seen by another internet seller (Hypermegasat),which is advertised as the v box 6.The pics in the manual do look like the box i received but again i was just a bit concerned when i saw the input voltage. The plug looks standard US!When i called Galaxy the guy i chatted with seemed confused and stated that they have sold many of them here in the US without problems.Sorry for the long Text!It all comes down to this!Is the voltage a misprint on the manual and can i use this V box.

id think its a misprint. if the plug looks like it fits then id use it. european plugs look nothing like north american plugs.

crackt out,.

Thanks Crackt! I looked at WS internationals web page and they advertise the one that i received today and the voltage specs are North American.I think WS and Galaxy work together!Galaxy should update the v box web page and it looks like the manual was Generically put together and in doing so the input voltage was incorrectly printed.

de-confusifying:

Can't tell the players without a score card -

:up - Well, WSI and Galaxy are the same company, and they are a Gold Sponsor for SatGuys.
WSI is wholesale. No prices shown.
Galaxy Marketing is retail (note the prices on their web site).
:up - HyperMegasat is a dealer who sells equipment from WSI/Galaxy, but may also sell items from other vendors.

:up - SatelliteAV is a Gold Sponsor here.
They are a wholesaler, dealer, importer, manufacturer.
You'll find them offering dishes, LNBs, and receivers with the GeoSatPro branding.
:up - Glorystar is one of their companies, using many of the same products.
They focus on end-users wanting simplified systems for religious programming.

:up - Sadoun used to be one of our Gold Sponsors.
They sell under their own name on eBay, as well as their web site.
You may see them offer products from WSI, and also products branded with the GeoSatPro (from SatelliteAV).

 - DMSI is a wholesaler, and they don't list prices.
They are not associated with SatGuys, but you see a lot of DMSI products being discussed.
One of their many dealers who I've bought from, is IvyStonePlace.
