System: Visionsat IV200 PVR; V-box VII (7) moving Birdview dish.
After much speculation and experimentation, mainly by a friend who recently got bitten by the FTA bug, (who is now in the Birdview owners' club and is an engineer by trade) we were able to rig a very effective BV moving system, in which his V-box X and my V-box VII both talk very nicely to their Birdview BUD systems' motors. My system, however, which now easily moves through the arc via the V-box remote control to programmed positions we set is not chatting with its receiver, the Visionsat.
My V-box understands when the FTA receiver is "off" and V-box front panel LED's shut off accordingly but we're unable to make the diseqc 1.2 settings talk to the V-box positioner. Perhaps I'm missing something in the setup of the Visionsat. There is nothing between the positioner
We already had satellites scanned-in, so we have functional sats and transponders/channels, and simply want to "tell" the V-box to store, thus giving me automatic moving of the dish.
FTA receiver says it can do diseqc 1.2, V-box says it handles that, but its like they're not communicating. have checked interconnect cable, no problem. Have checked diseqc general operation, and I am able to switch c to ku via standard settings as always, no problem. Understand I use 1.2 for motor, not the same language/setting as the LNB switching.
Visionsat software is the 1.45 final factory issue.
Any ideas and help welcomed. Nice to see the 4D no longer on the counter moving the BUD. Space was at a premium in the RV!
