Using Voom dish with a 921 DVR

I know you can use the Voom dish (it has a legacy lnb pointed at 61.5) with some of the HD receivers (6000 and 811) as long as you have an SW21 switch and another legacy lnb dish pointed at 110.

What would different about the setup if I purchased a 921? What switch would I need to use 2 dishes with legacy lnbs?

A local retailer has a good deal on the 921 and I'd like to go that route possibly, but I also want to keep my Voom dish right where it's at and use another legacy dish and point it at 110. I will ONLY subscribe to the HD pack/Voom.

I take it I need a different switch than the SW21 to go with the 921 DVR?

Thanks. Hoping not to have to get 2 new Dishpro dishes....

PS:

Remember though, the SW44 will only allow for 2-birds (61.5-110 or 61.5-119) since you definitely want the 61.5 bird, but you'll be able to connect up to 4 satellite receivers.

It would be better to hook up the VoOm dish with a Dish500 and a legacy twin and get 61.5, 110 and 119.

ALL Dish Network receivers will work with legacy lnbs.

Thanks for the answers.

For the SW44 (or SW64), you would run 2 cables from each dish into the switch (for a total of 4 cables if I'm just trying to to use 61.5 and 110) and then 2 cables out to the 921 (since it's a 2-tuner DVR)?

I do NOT see why you would need a SW44 or SW64 to drive a single 921 using legacy gear.

If you want just 61.5 & 110, then 2 "old-style" dishes - D300, V*, D* with (Legacy) dual LNBFs, and a pair of SW-21s.

If you want 61.5, 110 & 119, then a D500 with Legacy Twin, and the V* dish, again with a pair of SW-21s. This is the EXACT setup I ran my 921 from for a year.

Has Dish become the new pig?
