I subscribe to The Spectrum Monitor, and the July issue has a great article by Mike Kohl about using multiple LNBs on one dish, plus great general information on satellite dishes in general. Good reading from an author who's had vast experience.

The Spectrum Monitor is an Internet only magazine that is edited by Ken Reitz, and follows in the footsteps of Bob Grove's former Monitoring Times print magazine that had its final issue at the end of 2013. Ken has recruited a number of experts in an astounding number of electronics specialties to write articles on the areas that they live and breathe. Since it is housed on the Internet rather than having a limited budget every month for paper and printing, the editor has been able to expand the quality of the pictures and the articles themselves are typically at least 2200 words each in a given issue. I have been able to go through all issues going back this past 19 months, and am incredibly impressed by the detail and sheer amount of good information that has been produced by this talented group of experts that writes about the subjects that they are most passionate and knowledgeable about.
Spending the $48 asked to get all issues from last year and this year through December would be a very good investment in a technology library. There is simply a lot of information that is provided to give you a background on getting your feet wet deeper into any area or specialty.
