I still have a Dish 500 satellite dish on my roof with the original installation cable running from it into my basement. when I cancelled Dish awhile back they told me just to leave the dish on the roof.
I have been without TV but am now wondering if I bought one of those snap on to the dish antenna's to get local stations and had someone snap it on to the dish could the cable from these snap on antenna's that I see radio shack has be used for me to try and get local stations using the dish cable that is running from the dish? ..is it possible to just take the coax from the snap on antenna and plug it into the existing cable running from the Dish?
