I would think that just encore west HD if and when available would be included in 250. Encore east is not included in the package
This map down of "340" indicates that ENCOR-HD will only be available to Starz subscribers, just like channel 340 Encore-SD...
Okay DIGIBLUR. Where is channel 6 CBS and 4 NBC in hd for Beaumont/Pt.Arthur ,Texas locals on DISH? I only see 12 ABC and 64 FOX listed in my guide and on the DISH website.
Channel 6 is owned by Freedom Corp - none of the Freedom Corp stations are available in HD on Dish. I have written Freedom urging them to complete a deal with Dish, but if you go to the Freedom Corp website and read some of the messages from the CEO it sounds like they are at war protecting their interests.
Shouldn't be E* now has the bast annouced premium package since the channels aren't actually available yet. By 8/1 who knows what the compition might bring to the table?right now E has the best premium package anywhere with these additions. awesome! :up i especially like the starz and encore additions.
I sell the service I certainly understand the packages. and in my information Encore is included....though I haven't had time to call Dish about this, I certainly will and find out the real reason and will report it today....
FOR THE THIRD TIME:
This map down of "340" indicates that ENCOR-HD will only be available to Starz subscribers, just like channel 340 Encore-East(SD)...
Channel 340 Encore-East has always been part of the Starz pack and never part of the Encore pack. The latter includes Encore-WEST and is part of either AT250 or is available separately for $4.99 per month.
The "real reason" is "because it is in Dish Network's contract with Starz-Encore".

The assumption is that the package will remain the same after August 1st. No reason not to, but Mr. Ergen has a way of surprising people, maybe he made a deal for the STARZ HD channels that allows the Eastern feed of Encore to go into 250 as a way of getting people with 200 and HD to upgrade. I am not saying this is the case, just throwing it out there. Did the brochures come from Dish or were they produced locally?

Well next time why don't you call DISH first before you ask questions then if you know so much about the packages? How about writing the ceo@echostar.com and ask them directly if you want the final reason why they don't include Encore East in your regular top 250 programming. I know they don't because I have the top 250 with dvr advantage on my main account , on my second account for my parents and on my third account for my aunt as an ala carte option fro 4.99. It is not included without buying STARZ.
