Uplink Activity for the week of WED May 24th

That's got to be what it is, and that's awesome that they're not just going to keep it for football and whatnot. Imagine 6 angles during the World Series or the All Star Game...or the NBA Finals...E* gets something right...

Not sure anyone was asking for the extra coverage of Indy, but we'll take it. They do a pretty good job in the booth, it's not like football where having a different angle during certain plays (field goal cam, for example) will offer a different viewing experience...

Yes, there has been ads on for the multi channel Indy for a few days now. Channel 100 or 101...wherever they put the TBS football stuff.

Interactive Indianapolis 500
ESPN, DISH Network and the Indianapolis 500 are putting fans in the driver's seat with ground-breaking racing coverage via ESPN Interactive Indy. The interactive channel will allow viewers to monitor six in-car camera feeds live during Sunday's Indianapolis 500 on DISH Network's DISH Home Channel 100.

According to the companies, fans can view those six camera feeds on a single screen in a mosaic format, or select the camera angle they want in a normal, full screen television format. ABC will televise the Indy 500 live at 1 p.m. ET.

DISH Network customers can access the ESPN Interactive Indy menu with information about statistics, start positions, driver biographies and race traditions such as the origin of the Indy 500 Milk tradition. On the day of the race viewers will be able to access the application while being able to view one of the in-car cameras in a one-fourth screen mode. In addition, the menu will include IRL standings and the 2006 IRL season schedule.

ESPN Interactive Indy is free to all DISH Network subscribers.

That is really cool. Hopefully they will continue to expand on this idea for lots of events.

Wow that will be cool! Would like them to do that for the BrickYard which is the Nascar race at Indy..

Yep, I've been after Dish to do this with Nascar! It's called Nascar Incar! The cable companies have been doing this for years and its kick ass! Your with a certain driver for the whole race or u can change drivers and no commercials it stays live, if your driver is taken out of the race, they just replace it with another feed! Puts u in the race and it's with full audio with including driver to crew chief! Its cool all Nascar fans this is a must have. Keep calling Dish and requesting this and maybe we will get it someday! What the cable companies do is use the pay per view channels to do this for one day, this way they don't need to create new channels for the service! Rev it up!
