Currently I have 5 DirecTV receivers in a 5x8 switch, professionally installed. Now with this promotional offer of VOOM for existing customers ($49 for the 3 receivers and $50 for the additional receivers and $5.00/receiver lease for a 6 month contract is too good to pass).

My question, will I get a better picture quality in my non-HD tv's in my children's room.

Are they going to provide their own switch.

Has anybody have experience with VOOM having 3 or more receivers?

Your non-HDTV sets will have a fabulous picture. I have 2 Voom stb's, one in my home theater hooked to a projector and the other one in the family room hooked up to a 27" TV and the picture never looked this good (except when my Dish 6000 HD stb was hooked to it, of course). Plus you will be able to view all of the HD channels in widescreen format, it will look just like a DVD. The Voom SD channels, for the most part, are much better than what I got from Dish, but some channels suck though.

I can't answer your other questions.

Although multiswitch is usually mentioned as a customer's responsibility, in most cases, from what I've heard, VOOM provides it at no charge.

And... I'm back.
