Aunt and uncle have D* and have been using old technology. Just got back from visiting them and need some advice. They have 1 Sanyo HD set and 2 4:3 tvs and 3 hughes receivers made in 2004. They also have a single LNB that looks only at 101. With the HD locals changing from SD to HD in Feb. will they need to get a slimline and new receivers to get locals from zip 28647? I would think that locals are going to be turned off from the 101. Is that the way it is going? It would be of some great help to see what my aunt and uncle need to do next year once the locals convert to HD only.

They will need the 5 LNB dish regardless. All new HD is headed in that direction and HD LiL should already be moved.
