Do you guys know if you have to pay the upgrade fees when you order the upgrade or will it just be added to your bill?

I just upgraded - you pay the $199.99 over the phone via Credit Card. Then the receiver is installed - mine went in this morning. It took some time but so far, so good. It looks to be a great receiver. They installed a dish 1000 (No more 61.5, 129 instead). I was told and a note was made that I could get a new switch for the old 61.5 slot if I am unhappy with the signal or the few missing Channels. Right now the Dish 1000 is getting 110, 119, and 129. 110 and 119 signals are over 100, 129 is around 75 (61.5 was over 100). I'll see what kind of rain fade I get if any.

Cheers

Also expect 2 months upgraded programming costs on your first bill - the first (or fraction thereof) and the second, payable at the same time. They will deduct any "unearned" portion of the previous programming costs that you also had paid in advance...

Did you get the 99.99 upgrade deal? if so when will they credit your CC or will they give you 100.00 in programing credits

I got the 622 (6/12install) for $100 than expected because on 6/9 Dish lowered the price and the trade return for 921/942 by $100. As I returned only an 811 I pay less but the 921 has less value. I cannot upgrade the 921 right away but maybe sometime in the future they will want to get them out of the field and will give a better deal. (Repeat from Alb. board.) If I got it 4 days earlier I guess it would have been more. Total was $200 instead of $300.

I did get a DPP44+2nd Twin (second trip) so I could keep 61.5 and for 5 tuners. I want to keep ARTS, which is on 61.5 and 148.

I think the $10*10 refund is only for new subs.
