Its a C/KU band analog box. The VCII board is for analog subscriptions if you had C-Band. But it will work great slaved to a DVB box for the analog feeds

hopefully the remote comes with it. Otherwise there may be some issues if you can't flip to KU with it

Does NPS still offer VC2 subs? Or is that 80s style? Just curious. If I can sub. to Vc2 with this box...excellent!

To hell with the guy that sold me this box. Did not come with a remote. So, here's the thing. It seems to be dead set on G5. I'll aim for 125 West and see what shows up.

can you manually flip it to KU ?

Nope, there are just 2 separate inputs. C/V LNB and Ku/H LNB. I hook into the Ku input only cause thats the dish I have.

Great news, finally got the remote over the past weekend and I've been messin with the 4900. Seems like a dinosaur to me but I'm sure some long time C-banders can work it easily. I was able to find some Ku analog during the past weekend with a few sports feeds and all but that was about it after Sunday past. The only other thing active during the week is a beacon on 85 West for Echostar.

Still, have yet to set everything else up once I get the BUD mounted. Debating on many issues. More to come!

I have this unit with remote... Is it worth anything now-a-days??

not really since its analog

you can use it to move a big dish but thats about it
