Long and short if anyone still owns a UTV or if you know of any good websites with users of UTVs please share. I miss my 7200 alot since the day I had to mothball her an year ago, ( replaced the smart card slot 2 and the mother board was getting glitchy. ) Anyway, as some know the ultimateTV was really the finished product of what the Dishplayer 71/7200 were supposed to be. The share virtually the same ui and functions. I am looking to find one for my use out in my home office. Ebay has not been very useful in that endevor ( units tied to pass due accounts )

AVS forums still has an Ultimate TV section that appears to to still be active. UTV still had the best user-interface that I have used. HD forced me to move on.

While I have HD in the office I seldom look at the picture it more for background noise and I always like the UI. Also it would give me another dvr to record misc crap on .

the HDDVR for the shows I really like and the Dtivos and UTVs for the shows i still follow but not really into

I have one...and want to replace it with an HD DVR. Why would you want UTV instead of a newer box?

I managed to get my hands on two UTV units locally. It brings a tear to my eye to see the best UI out of any Satellite box, ever. Its like having my 7200 back just with dual tuners now.

Enjoy it while you can...
Once the mpeg2 datastream goes away you'll be back to where you were before you found them.
I know it's not going to be tomorrow, but it will happen in the next few years.

Yeah I know my time with them and my dtivos will be short. The more i use this UTV box and my HR10-250 the more I hate my HR22
