UHD Programming Info? Not much Olympics so far

Anyone have a reliable, up to date, program guide for UHD?

I have Titan TV and so far, I am NOT impressed with Olympics coverage--very minimal and so far, through next Friday(where I am in the guide so far), only HOCKEY--oh, but they DO have the Westminster Dog Show? Wow!

I had really been led to beieve we would get a DEDICATED Olympics HD channel for Olympics only for MPEG 2!!!

What happened to that?

Either the Titan TV is woefully behind the times--or if not, the Olympics Coverage is pretty bare bones!

AGain, if anyone has a more up-to-date Online Programming guide for UHD, please post--I was using Titan TV at http://ww2.titantv.com/

Remember, NBC is virtually all HD for this event.

UHD has pretty lopsided Winter Olympics coverage. Hope NBC is better, but there is a whole lot more to Olympics than Ice Hockey or Ice anything--skiing, tri-athalon, luge, free-style, etc, etc. Again, where is the HD Olympics channel that Charlie promised in Charlie chat?

Personally, while I my take a glance or two at the olympics, I see this as a free 2 week preview of UHD. Can't wait to see Battlestar Galactica and Monk.

NBC picks up the HD feed from the Host programmer. This thread lists the sports that have HD coverage even available, vs the ones that are only in SD. You really can't blame NBC if there is no other HD coverage available.

Well the Olympics are being kicked off, TV-wise, as I write this and the only HD is my local NBC affiliate, KUSA, which I receive OTA. Doesn't look like Dish is doing much in providing Olympics HD if you don't have OTA HD. However, having UHIHD is better than nothing, considering I didn't have to buy a new receiver or increase my monthly cost of programming. So this isn't as good as they gave us for the summer Olympics, but at least it is something. Disappointing, but not a major broken promise by Dish.

BTW, NBC is the provider of all TV coverage at these Olympics, so if it isn't in HD it is because NBC didn't want it HD or they ran out of HD cameras. Dish can't carry a national feed of NBC because of the loss of affiliate advertising revenue.

Who cares about the Olympics on UHD! I'm just going to enjoy what little other programming they have and watch the Olympics OTA. Too bad Dish will pull UHD after the games and then dangle UHD over us if we purchase a new 622.

Apparently another Dish lie because it's 3/4 thru day 2 and still not here.

It was promised in the chat and mentioned in the press release. It was also told to Scott by one of his contacts at Dish and relayed here.

Yes you are but it doesn't make you a bad person .

For the Summer Olympics, Dish ran the special NBC HD feed, which although delayed and limited, it had far more Olympic HD than what Universal HD is providing for these Olympics (just skating - period).

So that said, Dish issues a press release and Chuck, Jim & Eric announce on the last Chat that Dish is doing a "lot more" HD for these Olympics AND they will be "available to ALL Dish HD customers".

The NBC network is doing much more HD coverage this time than last summer and their HD feed is a mirror of the network instead of the seperate feed they had last time.

So for Dish to provide us nothing but Universal HD and call it their "lot more in HD" Olympic coverage is not only disingenious - it's an outright lie.
