U503, If I understand it correctly, was meant to repair problems with first time set up like the receiver not running a check switch, activation problems, etc.
I noticed yesterday that I was no longer getting the screen issues on my OTA channels. I checked the version and I was at 503 as of 10/11. it appears to have fixed my OTA issues.
I have had no ota problems till we got the U503 software. Since then I have missed two different recordings on tv shows and the news and my wife said this morning she couldn't even tune to ANY of the ota channels at all. Which is why I missed my GMA recording on my ota ABC station this morning. I unplugged my receiver and rebooted it and it seems to be working again. For now.I am happy for you. Mine is still broken.

I need to correct my post. The timer issue is happening with Satellite and OTA locals.I am having OTA issues too. This morning while checking my schedule for the week noticed OTA timers not scheduled. So deleted the timers and tried to create new ones. In the guide when I select the program to record I am not seeing Record Series and Record Future Airing so I select Record This. When I go into the Timers listing and try to change the Record to Only New and back out a window #1276 pops open and says Timer Edit failed, Please try again later. I did a spot check of all the Prime Time channels and discovered this issue is very sporadic. Seems to be mostly CBS and ABC and not all the channels. This is happening on both my Hopper 3s. Performed a pull chord reboot but did not fix issue. I am still on U502.

CORRECTION: This timer issue is happening with Satellite and OTA locals.
Thanks Jon J. My timer problem is a local channel issue, both Satellite and OTA.I am experiencing no local OTA timer problems. All my timers are dutifully recording programs at the proper time which are then unwatchable because of the continuing tearing and blocking video and audio dropouts.
Wired issues. The four daytime CBS timers that I record all the time started acting up for this whole week. I might try out the Mon-Fri timer you have done. For today I have just set a once timer for all four programs. I guess something has corrupted my locals guide for this week for some reason. Starting next week on Monday there is no issue setting up a series timer for the four daytime CBS channels that I always record.I have seen one timer for OTA that was giving me a fit . The timer for General Hospital could not be edited to show anything but ONCE. So I deleted the original timer and I left the one for Monday as ONCE and then went forward in the guide to Tuesday and created a new timer for MON - FRIDAY and it shows it working now for the next 6 days. I tried to create a timer on the satellite version of ABC and it did the same thing . Only could created a Once timer and could not edit it.
Well, this morning my guide is working good. I was able to set series timers for my four local CBS channels. Sure glad it is fixed now. I am still on U502.Wired issues. WOW MikeD-C05, those are the exact channels I had the same issue with. So I guess it was not just me. Are you on U503 or 502? I am still on U502. Anyway, they are working this morning. I was able to set them back up with series timers.I noticed yesterday that certain daytime shows on CBS are only RECORD THIS or ONCE timers. The soap operas are like this and Dr. Phil and the Talk, but the other shows are still record series if you want to. I don't know why they are like this. I did try to edit them to Mon -Friday once they were created and I was able to change them from record once to Mon -Friday timers. It then shows it will record for the next 5 days. I could not get it to work if you changed it to NEW only. It would only record it once if I tried that. I also noticed if I changed it to NEW and then back to finish the edit , it would say Failed timer . So something is wrong with the software.
