Thought people who are having trouble finding G10 might like these, about 2 months back I wanted a dish in the backyard close to the house, just for AMC5. Looked for a spot thru the trees that I thought might work out, using a compass and a guess.
Forest starts about 40' in front of the dish, slight downhill grade there. This one only gets AMC5, 6 and prob SBS6 but nothing else>but its less than half the 120'cable run to my regular dish location. So don't say it won't work until you try!

very nice pictures :)

Yep..never know what you'll get unless you try. I didnt think I could get Hispasat with a 8 elevation...proved that wrong :)

Thanks, I just thought the people who were thinking of giving up could use some encouragement. A little hole is all it takes (until the trees eventually grow too tall) to get thru to the sat. Started out on that one with the pole set just about 6' to the left of that-could not hit a single signal. Moved pole a little , bingo. NYN9 is running a little low so I think it might be partially obstructed but it is stable until it rains. Someday soon, a tree or two will have to hit the ground around here!
