Been down on my luck lately and selling stuff on CL. I've been overwhelmed with scam attempts. WTF? It occurred to me that most of the scam emails are computer generated. The scammers are using automated scamming software. They don't have to spend any time fishing. They just reel in the suckers.
Well it's time to turn the tables on the scammers and make fishing on CraigsList a major waste of time. I'm responding to those attempts and see how much time I can kept them on the hook before they cut me loose. It's been interesting so far. But watch out for retaliation from the scammers. They get annoyed when they figure out what your doing, LOL. They send you little suprises, Link Mines, viruses and other such nonsense.

Yeah, I tried to sell my old TV on CL. I think I got 16 responses. All of them were offering to meet me somewhere for the purpose of purchasing their prostitution services.

That is interesting, I've had very good luck selling on Craigslist. Hopefully this doesn't get too wide spread.

Craig'sList is great. I sell a lot of stuff there. Just not over the internet. Virtually all email responses on items over $100 are scam attempts.

I found my first piece of rental property on Craigslist. Got a great deal on it. Have not been able to find another one cheap on there since. I try to sell stuff on there but no luck so far. I also list my rentals on there. I get a lot of scammers messaging me when I list stuff for sale on there or when I list something that I am looking for. There were even several scam posts for the same dollar amount for rentals, some in the same areas where someone had posted, including myself, which got annoying.
