I think I already know the answer to this, but since I got conflicting info from the Dish rep, I figured I'd ask the people that know for sure (you guys!)

I just ordered DISH for my parents, and they need to keep the costs as low as possible. Now, for the first 6 months Dish is running a deal to get TurboHD Bronze for $19.99, but Classic Bronze HD is also $19.99 for that time period, so I planned on getting them Classic for now, then drop to TurboHD after the promtional price ends. (I also know about how dropping to TurboHD will lose some HD channels, that's ok.)

The rep I talked to mentioned that if I go with TurboHD that the SD tv's in my house would not get programming. Now, I'm 99% sure that's wrong, but I figured I'd check with you all. They're getting a ViP 722 which will down convert anything going to TV2/home distribution, no matter if I'm on Classic Bronze HD or TurboHD Bronze, right?

Thanks!!

It may not be a good idea to base your plans on the idea that TurboHD will be there when the time comes. There have been conflicting reports on future availability of the TurboHD packages.
