Tuner two output

I have a dvd recorder hooked upt via composite cables to my dvd recorder. The problem is the picture turns into a 4:3 inside a 4:3. What am i doing wrong. oops, it's a 622. any help would be appreciated.

Some channels transmit a HD widescreen image even when their source material is 4x3 SD. This will give you the 4x3 "window boxed" image you are getting. Push the * key on the TV2 remote to switch the TV2 output to "normal". Only use the "letterbox" position if the source material is widescreen HD.

the 622 does have a hd output option under system menu 6.8. not sure that's going to help you.
