There are a lot of relief efforts and benefits occurring to aid the Tsunami devastated areas. An all-star benefit cricket match has been organized in Australia starting Sunday night (Monday afternoon in Melbourne). It pits an Asian XI against an ICC World XI, with such stars as Brian Lara, Shane Warne, Darren Gough, Muttiah Muralitharan, Sachin Tendulkar, and Rahul Dravid participating. Both Dish and DirecTV appear to be carrying this on a PPV basis. Dish lists it as a $9.95 event cost, I suspect D*'s price will be similar. From D*'s website program guide, it appears that this PPV will be from one of their main satellites and not the new 95 sat, so that all D* customers should be able to receive it. I expect there to be a fund raising telethon format to the match, providing opportunities to donate and bid on cricket memorabilia.
