Has the transponder moved (again)? Or have they changed transponders?

According to lyngsat, Gal 27, 12027 H is where I am supposed to be looking, but for some reason, I just can't seem to find anything there.

I'm going to spend some time tonight looking, but wanted to know first, IS it still there?

EDIT: Thank you who ever deleted that second post. Photto

Iceberg, I'm sorry it took me this long to get back, dinner, a small emergency with sister next door, but thank you for your help.

I'm going to let you know WHAT I did, if any other Conaxsat DUO (or TREO) members are trying to do a blind scan, here's what I found out.

The DUO offers the following options for Blindscan.

Freq Steps: 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10MHz
Symbol Rates: All, 8000 and over, 8000 and under, 8000 - 4000, 4000 and over, 4000 and under
Polarity: All, Hor, Vert

Originally I had the setup for the scan at 4MHz, All, and All.

knowing this would take a L-O-N-G time, I stopped and retried at 4MHz, under 4000 and hor.

It skipped right past 12027 without giving a heart beat, but it DID stop at 11896 and hung up there for a very long time, so I restarted, lowering the scan to 2MHz.

It actually surprised me when nearly 30 minutes later I was looking at S80 and Q 95 on 12027. Scanned in White Springs.

The entire process took well over an hour, but I am happy and proud to say, I DID IT !!! WHOHOO.

Again, Ice, thank you for your help.

Some receivers have trouble finding WSTV with a blind scan due to its low symbol rate. If a blind scan fails to find it, you can usually pull it up quickly with a manual scan of the transponder.

OOOPS, did I forget to mention, that transponder didn't exist on the Conaxsat DUO receiver?

THAT was why I was having trouble finding it in the first place.

Thanks to all that responded, it was an enlightening experiance.

And btw, blindscanning with the DUO is a painful hurt. And using ChannelMaster will often effect the opperation of the USALS so I didn't want to go that route, though it looks like I may have to start thinking about a new motor.

Not that I have discovered using the CNX DUO. I have used ChannelMaster, but then that seems to do things to the motor setup, so I shy away from that.

And as far as I haver read so far, not too many people on this forum are using the DUO/TREO.

However, that said, I have been having a ball learning to use this receiver.

Tried numerous times to find it myself but no luck

I have tried to blind scan this satellite a bunch of times to find this channel but my viewsat can't lock it in, I think it's b/c of the lower frequency the viewsat has trouble with this type of channels.
