So. I got my satpros dsr-500. Anyway everything is great but galaxy 10r gives me like 6 channels. I tried my tricks and only still about 6 channels and 1 audio or nothing. I added, changed and stuck in transponders. Checked mutiple lists. Still nothing good. Only pick up channels on like 2 transponders. Just trying to get retro tv among other things.

Also for lnb setting. Do I use standard or universal? Does not seem to make a difference. LNB says Geosatpro Standard single lnbf GSL1s-bullet.

Did fine tune my dish today too. Raised the signal quality up from like 40's up to 60's. No problem with picture now. Also checked out he motor. Looks like at one time somebody used it or something. The limit screw on one side was stripped and they was not at factory settings. I don't really care though. still works fine.

Thanks,

Josh

Look at the channels and report to us what logos or other identifying info you see on the picture (not on the receiver's id of the channel).]
You may not have G10R at all...

The LNBF setting is: Standard LO freq. 10750

Did you check the dish to see if it is warped? Lay the dish on a perfectly flat surface (I.E. glass table, etc.) and verify that the edges are laying perfectly flat. Dishes sometimes see some very rough travels during delivery!

This is what shows up.

Working transponders:

H 11732 -13230
H 11805 - 805

3 Channels I get in clear

Knowledge network 3 -11732

Research Channel - 11805

Uwtv Harbor view medical center - 11805

1 channel is blank and two other channels are encrypted.
Have not checked the raidio channel yet.

Yes, I added and removed transonders. from mutiple lists.

As for the dish. Looks perfectly fan. No bumps dings or anything. I was carefull in putting it togheter and I'm hitting all other satellites perfectly. From west to east. I can't go to far east since my house and a big tree blocks it. But Galaxy 10r is in the clear for view.

lnb settings in dish pro receiver (Wideband)

high 10750
low 9750
Power On
0/22 = 0

thanks for help

Josh

I would say you need to nudge - barely move the dish to the east and then rescan. I had the same problem when I first setup. Those are really strong tp's and are always the 1st ones I get on G10. By nudge I mean 1/16th of an inch or so. You are close! Hang in there!

did you skew the LNB properly?

You are on G10 but sounds like you're off by a smidge. Both LNB settings should be 10750

okay will do

I used the diseqc command to move the dish over. The working transponders went up. Checked a few other sats. One went down. Others went up. So I can see moving the whole thing just a slight would help. But once again. Still didn't pick up anything new on 10r. Also there might just might be a tree in the way. I know if I got way over east. THere is a big pine tree in the way. But my house blocks it anyway. Plus not much of anything that side. Any other ideas? Tommorow I'll go and knudge it over just a tad. Could my elevation still be off? I tweaked that yesterday along with the distance the lnbf is from the dish we all great resaults. So I really don't want to change anything you know. But I can see a slight knudge would improve the quality by at least 5% or more.

Lnb skew is 0 since it is on a motor. (Please correct if wrong) I did test the skew with other satellites and the only difference is worse signal. The only increase I got was moving it bad and for in the backet closer/away from the dish.

Josh

I thought you had a stationary dish. So, if you are using a motor, when you go to diseqc, and you manually move you still don't get everything? Even after scanning?

It looks like you are only receiving horizontal polarity. The Equity channels on Galaxy 10R are vertical polarity. Can you receive vertical polarity channels on any other satellite?.

Yes on motor and Yes on Vvvvvv's.

Yes the dish is on a motor and yes other satellites are working great with vertical and horizontal. In fact most of the other sats are vertical I noticed. I thought of that too.

Yes when I use the diseqc command to bump the dish. I get a increase on working transponders but on a rescan. Still no new channels.

but as I said. Might go out there and move it over more easy anyway. Since better signal quality is better picture. Though I prefer not since everything with the exception of G10R is working great. I even went back and added more stuff in to other satellites. Just as a test. You know filling up the transponders lists and fixing them. Nothing but 100% sucess on those.

Yes and a 39cm dish is the bomb. lol

Thanks,

Josh

I got it

Well I got it. Sortof.

set the satpros dsr-500

LNBF = Standard

High Lo 10600 = Changed to 10750

(Though got channels both ways.)

Low Lo = 0 (Will not allow me to change)

Power = On

0/22khz = 0

Now everything is fine.

Laters,

Josh
