Spent most of the day trying to tune in 1st "BUD" in 20 yrs. Printed out "The List ". The "LIST" shows my true South sat. to be Nimiq 2 @ 82 degrees, Ku Circular @ elevation 51.5 degrees. Nearest C-band is Brasilsat B3 @ 84 degrees @ elevation 51.5 degrees. My angle of declination is 5 1/2 degrees. So 46 plus 5 1/2 eguals 51.5 degrees. I looked with actuator running off battery charger @ 12 v = 1/3 speed (very slow) from 46 degrees plus 5 degrees plus fixed declination to 46 degrees minus 5 degrees plus fixed declination for awhile with no luck today. Did some reading here tonight. My polar axis is to be the same as my latitude, which is 33 degrees plus my fixed angle of declination 5.5 degrees = total of 38.5 degrees. The "LIST" shows 51.5 degrees as elevation. If you add 51.5 and 38.5 you get 90 degrees total. Are the Ku dish angles off the vertical plane and BUD angles off the horizontal plane. Will find sats tomorrow using 33 degrees plus fixed angle of declination, not 46 degrees. I hope this helps some newbies to C-band to set their polar axis the same degree as their latitude and save a day.
