Trouble with a US Digital Receiver

I have a US Digital OTA receiver model DB 2010. It works fine but is now trying to update its software and can't get it done. So it turns off the TV 8-10 times a day and this is getting very annoying. I suspect that US Digital is out of business. Any ideas about how to either update the software or turn off this feature? The thing is working fine except for this.
